A few words about TAMA
The Cultural Society TAMA, "The Vow" as it means in greek, has also the meaning of Hope hidden between the letters.
It was created out of the pure need for a better understanding of ourselves in these times, in a world that is changing faster than ever.
Through cultural events in Cyprus as well as abroad, such as concerts and seminars on various topics or even story telling for children!, we have attempted to create the sparks needed in this small and much-tormented part of the Mediterrenean.
Among other actions taken, such as the gathering and handling of aid for Earthquake victims and the recent Tsunami disaster when we sebd ony days after adequate aid to Sri Lanka, we would like to remind also of our campaign for the Missing Children of the Turkish Invasion, the youngest of them being only 6 months old.
The 70.000 signatures gathered, have been given to the Conseil D'Europe which has shown a particular interest on the case.
We hope that you will share with us our zest for life and love for everything beutiful!
